I think you’ve cracked the code with the whole “Lost” thing. I wasn’t really a fan before, but now I feel like I can dive in and start to understand the whole mess.

Yes, when Sawyer was locked into the cage and the Other says the bears figured out the treat treat/punishment machine in two hours I thought about the polar bears. Also, the kid could be used by The Others to get information, or maybe he’s being tested too for some reason.
And I think we’re all wondering what happened at that breakfast. Nothing good for Kate, that’s for sure.

Again I had to hit the Lost forums today to gain a little more understanding of what passed before my eyes last night. I felt even more confused than ever, and even had to remind myself for a minute what happened in the last episode of Season 2. But, this is what I think:

-The zoo is where the polar bears were kept. The kid in the other cage is probably an Other, and was used to try and find out where the Losties are (he asks Sawyer where his camp is, how many days’ walk it is, what direction, then tells him what direction to run, etc.). He’ll probably come back as some sort of mole (the spy kind, not the animal kind).
-What happened at the breakfast that chafed up Kate’s wrists, and if she had all that food in front of her, why did she attack Sawyer’s fish biscuit when she got back?
-Juliet seems “nice,” but there’s also something mysteriously sinister about her. Just slightly.
-What was the Stephen King book Juliet was holding?

As for the glass dome…well, the Lost guys have always said there are very few things on the show that don’t have meaning.
