Kill “Gilmore Girls’ ” Luke?

It’s no secret that Lauren Graham isn’t co-star Scott Patterson’s greatest fan.

Earlier in the “Gilmore Girls” press session, Graham also admitted that she doesn’t like working with the dog, named Paul Anka on the show. Not that she doesn’t love dogs, mind you. She just doesn’t like doing dog dialogue with the hound.

“I have made no secret of the fact that I do not enjoy working with the actor Paul Anka, although the person Paul Anka was joyful and a delight and gave me a stack of CDs, I just am not a fan of dog comedy.”

So is Paul Anka returning?

“Yes. See? I have no power here. No one cares if I don’t like working with Paul Anka,” Graham says.

Was that just a thinly veiled reference to dog or Patterson?

All we know is afterwards during the rush to the stage, she was asked if she would try to get rid of Patterson.
“I can’t get the dog killed,” she says jokingly. “How can I do that?”

Thanks for the info re. Lauren Graham’s feelings or lack thereof for Scott Patterson on Gilmore Girls. There have been rumours floating around about that and I would be curious for more details but she is very guarded when it comes to some aspects of her life. I suspect that there may have been something between them that has turned sour. Although he seems nice and he has never said a bad word about her quite the contrary he has praised her and her work.

She is rumoured of not getting along with some of her male co-stars.

This explains the lack of intimate scenes or their blandness. They might as well shake hands. Looks more like they are distant relatives or been married for 50 years.

The great chemistry that was so present on screen in earlier seasons when they were not yet an item, is gone. She is not convincing anymore in her scenes with Scott.

That is why she is pushing for a romance with her ex, Christopher played by David Sutcliffe and she defends what the vast majority of fans and critics have called a disastrous Season 6 and it’s horribly wrong finale.

She ruined the show for us fans and as much as I used to like her, she turns me off now, both on and off the show, although I tend to agree with her about the dog. Stupid idea.

I think that Lauren’s comments were in reference to the rumors that she is trying to get Patterson fired from the show and that she has some sort of control over storylines when ASP was running things. Come on, you just can’t fake that kind of on screen chemstry. They may totally hate each other in real life and but even if I was working with my worst enemy, if I got payed the moolah they do, I’d sure as hell put up with the person, which I think is the point Lauren is trying to make by her kill the dog comment.
