Who Survived Desperate Housewives Tornado?
When last we saw our “Desperate Housewives,” Lynnette emerged from her house with Mrs. McCluskey only to discover that Mrs. McCluskey’s home – where husband Tom and her children were staying – had been razed.
“Desperate Housewives” wait to see who survived on the Jan. 6 episode. KATHRYN JOOSTEN, TERI HATCHER, NICOLLETTE SHERIDAN, FELICITY HUFFMAN, MARCIA CROSS (photo: ABC/CRAIG SJODIN)
We suspect that Tom and the kids are just peachy, and that Ida Greenberg may or may not have survived. But we won’t know for sure until Jan. 6, when we see the conclusion. This episode of “Desperate Housewives” will be available on ABC.com the day after airing so you can watch it online.
In “Welcome to Kanagawa,” Lynette faces the possibility that her family and Ida Greenberg may not have survived; Katherine finds out that someone knows the truth about her mysterious past; and the residents of Wisteria Lane begin to rebuild their lives after the deadly tornado.
The good news is that we get some closure. The bad new is that this episode is the last original produced before the WGA strike. Depending on whether the strikers return soon or not, the episode may just have to last us until the spring.

in response to what laura k said…we all think we make too little money…it is about more than just the money with the writers…the producers are making all of this money off of their creativity and they are not getting their share of the profits or the credit…they only make 4 cents per dvd…dvds that cost anywhere from 20-80 or more dollars…and they make nothing off of internet streaming or downloads on sites such as itunes where they charge like 2 bucks per episode or more…i think they are totally right to do this…the only reasons the producers are being asses and dragging it out is because if they give the writers what they deserve than the actors will want more in june when their contracts are up…and they would be right to demand more as well in my opinion…they all work they should all get an equal cut…im sure if u were creating something and getting screwed you would do exactly what they are doing by proving that they are necessary to the survival of such projects like shows and movies…know the facts before you throw stones at them for wanting something for their hard work because they are getting screwed out of their share given its their words that drive these shows or else the actors could just go and improvise an entire show

ps…anyone who thinks i am being stupid with my opinions know this…i intern at a late night tv show and i see the effects of this strike firsthand and have seen my friends lose their jobs and have to get all new internships because they havent made their credit hours, plus i cant find a job working in tv like i want to because of the strike…im working as a waitress making barely minimum wage…but i still think the writers are right for their actions…they deserve their fair share for the shows they create

I think that i speak for alot of people when I say yes it is just a television show but it is one that we love. I think that when people express how they feel about it doesn’t mean that they really loose sleep or that they are really going to die. They are just in suspense to see what is going to happen next and they don’t want to wait. I know that it is only a show but i make sure I am in front of the tv every single time DH is on. No matter what. It is a great show and people want to know what the hell is going go happen next so if it is just a silly television show then don’t watch it. Also it is only an hour a week. So really how many hobbies do you do in that one hour? Just a question at hand and why are you on the web site? Just another question, I would just like to hear the answer.

I think the writing of this episode was very well done. The obvious suspense proves that. Laura K., you have no idea what these writers make, they don’t all make the same amount. You don’t know that they get paid enough, nor do I. They didn’t walk out lightly, their lives are on hold, they have no income right now, so obviously this wasn’t an easy decision. Greedy network executives need to share profits to those who actually do the work that makes them the money. There is money to share, they just want it all. I hope it ends soon too, but for the sake of the writers and their families, not this or any other show (despite my love for the show).

Response to Karen N.: A lot of people mistake being mean for wisdom. Just because you are a critical brat, doesn’t mean you are smart or know anything. It’s easy to be the stupid person on the sidelines mocking everyone else.
I’d hate to hang out with a person like you. Always criticizing others and doesn’t know how to have fun. This is my favorite show. I don’t obsess over the show or lose sleep over it, but I am still excited over the ending and enjoying speculating who is going to die. Maybe if you knew how to enjoy yourself as well, you wouldn’t act like you had a stick up your butt and maybe it would help you get some friends.

Let’s stick to the storyline folks. The strike will be settled in time, it’s out of our control.
I think Victor will be still alive as it makes for a great story and everyone will know about Gabby and Carlos. Lynette will start a new life and maybe get together with the guy who worked in their restaurant.
The other lady survives in the area about Katherine and her dr. husband.
What happened to Bree’s daughter and son? The story line of Susan and Mike changes dramatically. She files for divorce and somehow loses the baby. Wish Ian would return for her.

Well we know victor has died, and ida is most likely the second person so it got me thinking who could be the 2 other people then it came to me what if it is the 2 gay couple neighbors?

To John,
well if Victor dies there will be no reason too for Gabby (and Carlos) to leave !
almost everyone’s right Victor for sure, probably Ida and Sylvia, but no idea about the fourth
see ya.

I support the writers! I wish the cameramen and other technicians would walk off too, then this strike would be over in about three minutes.
Unions built the middle class in this country. More people should have the courage to organize. In the meantime, I can wait until they win, and force these greedy studios to pay them for their hard work.

i’m italian and i’ve just downloaded the last episode …
i can’t wait to see the next one !!
anyway i think victor is the husband who dies , i mean , he can’t be immortal , he already survived and they definitely show him dead in the tornado episode .
he wasn’t friend to anyone in WL so i guess the friend should be someone else .
not tom cause he was in the basement , and he’s married to lynette so it can’t be two husbands .
then it could be that weirdo sylvia , but she isn’t friend to anyone … i guess it could be carlos , but i like him too much i hope it is not him !!!!
it could also be mike … he isn’t married to susan , right ?
or , yes , as you say , it could be ida , but i think that this suspence can only lead to a stunning conclusion !! so it has to be some beloved character .
hope my english’s ok .
bye !!

i’m a chinese, many of my friends love desperate housewives, and we talked about it, finally, we think the husband is victor, which is very sure. the friend,we guess it’s the owner of the cat(i’m sorry i forget her name..)we hope it’s her..because we don’t want carlos, tom or anyone else die..but ida is not anyone’s friend,so whether she died or not is not important.
btw, mike and susan is safe, definitely. i love them!
hope u can understand me..

It may be the cat that died…Ida’s friend
Nancy said,

I hope it’s not the cat. I am an animal lover and I have been worrying about the cat since last we saw him (Toby, I think his name was) underneath the car. Cats are good at survival, hiding, and getting into small places so I would think he has a better chance than most people would.
I also agree that the people who were mentioned at the beginning of the last episode are Victor and Ida.
Becky said,

I think Victor and Ida are dead. I just pray Ida’s cat made it. As for the writers, they have every right in the world to strike. The fat cats are getting rich off of their work……For you folks that are belittleing them….For every vacation you get….thank a union member…….for your medical insurance…..thank a union member…for your pay….thank a union member. Mr. Big Buisness didn’t give you these things because he likes you….Some union guy had to get his head bashed in and/or his family had to do without pay while he/she was on strike so you can enjoy all of these lovely benefits. So writiers……strike your brains out.

This is how shows lose the interest of the fans. Bad enough they go on hiatus and it seems like the episodes are repeated more than “all new”. Then you get one or two new episodes and then repeats for a few weeks. Now there is the writers strike, which has really been going on for a while now. It is up to the studio execs to remedy the situation, before viewers lose interest. I love the show, but I’m at the point where if I can catch it on, fine. If not, I’ll watch it on the web or ask someone. Life is complicated and this is supposed to be “entertainment”. I don’t have the time to try to track a show for its new episodes. They should be accomodating the viewers and try to draw viewers to their show , not the other way around.
