Last week, KTVU-Channel 2 anchor Dennis Richmond was expected to take up his post again last Wednesday.

For those of you tuning in, you probably noticed that didn’t happen. General Manager Tim McVay says they hope he can return this week depending on how his recovery continues to progress.
“He was hoping to return last week but was still feeling some pain and needs a little more time to recover from the surgery. He is looking forward to returning to work,” McVay says. “We obviously are looking forward to Dennis returning also but we don’t want to rush his recovery.”

KTVU-Channel 2 viewers have been anxiously pondering where in the world is anchor Dennis Richmond.
After having surgery to fix some pain Dennis was having in his neck, he’s on the mend and ready to take back the anchor seat. I’m sure if it was up to Dennis, he would have been back the day after surgery.
Dennis is scheduled to be back on the air Wednesday, Oct. 24.
He had been doing better after is surgery about two weeks ago, and was waiting for his doctor to give him the green light to come back on the air.
Needless to say, Richmond’s been chomping at the bit to get back into the anchor chair.

Mark Curtis has been doing a great job at KTVU-Channel 2 and it looks like he won’t be around for much longer.

After reading the original post, Curtis responded to the blog item about him leaving:
Thanks for the kinds words. I have loved my 14 years at KTVU and am sad to be leaving. This was NOT my choice or decision, but these things happen in the world of TV. Thanks to the viewers for making our show #1 for so many years. God Bless you!
In an e-mail, Bob Smith wrote:
Mark was FORCED out…and will only be a reporter until his contract ends in January. This “transition” stuff is BS.
